Does Your Hairstyle Flatter Your Face?

The spectacular Sarah Jessica Parker has more style hits than misses
I love to watch makeovers.  And truthfully, I enjoy when someone lets me make him/her over!  All of us have the ability to look our absolute best.  One of the reasons, celebrities look so glamorous is, they can hire a cavalcade of stylists to help them pick out a look to accentuate their best features and hide their flaws.  And, once in a while even they make a mistake.  But we can all learn from each other.  Beautyriot.com featured the best and worst celebrity hairstyles for a particular face.  Now, consider your own bone structure, the size of your nose and how wide your eyes are set apart; then, find the celebrity who shares the shape of your face in the photos below to learn what to do and what not to do with your hair.   Choosing the right hairstyle -- and avoiding others -- will help you to always look your fabulous best:

  1. A few of those ladies would probably look good even if they were bald.

  2. Asha, how right you are. Even the "worst" list looks pretty darn good.

  3. Hi Ladies
I will offer a guy's take on this. Even the "worst" girls are looking good. But, you get used to a certain look and when you see something different, it looks "bad". I am not big on all the celebs, but Kim Kardashian (oval worst) is meant to have flowing slightly zoftic (sp?) look and a tight bun does not do it. Further down, right side Sarah Jessica Parker (oblong right) is unrecognizable with her hair up.

So, just keep the expected look- stylists are very overpaid anyway.

  4. I guess, girls will be girls...like you I love to watch makeovers too. Used to be rather vein about my look, well that was when I was in my 20s. Now 40s with 3 kids, I just go with anything that comforts me. Thumbs up for the post!

    3. Well, I think hair that is styled to frame the face is most flattering. So if wearing it up, I'd go with Jessica Biel's style - it isn't pulled back tight, but is worn loose, so it frames the face. I also love hair that is worned down and flowing like Sarah Jessica Parker's. So two styles for you!
