Happy Valentine's Day Hugs and Kisses

Hugs and Kisses to all my readers a week before Valentine's Day. You motivate me to write new blogs. Without you there'd be no reason to post. And you know what? When we give with an open heart, we get plenty back. Researching the various topics helps me to learn right along with you! I'm a smarter person for it.

Furthermore when readers comment and share information, it's the best of all possible worlds as the philosopher, Voltaire, famously coined. Moreover, I appreciate the diversity of our global community: Red, yellow, black, white, purple, blue, pink, all are welcome and equal here!

3 of the uploaded images are for sell, but not by me ... as I'm only a writer not a merchant. But if you wish to go to the retailer of any one, I've linked it.

For Valentine's Day, you can lift others up with simple yet thoughtful gestures: 1) A sincere note letting someone know you care suffices; 2) Give your best friend a pretty red lipstick to brighten her day; or 3) Bring a bag of Valentine candies to share with co-workers. It might put smiles on some faces.

  1. Some sweet ideas, Debbie. I expect, as always, I will make a heart-shaped cake for my Valentine, iced with pink butter cream. It seems wrong not too, having the heart tins and all. And we always exchange cards, of course. In fact, we got together years ago when we worked in the same building, and he sent me a little heart shaped Valentine :)

    1. Oh, I love hearing how you and Mr. C first got together, Trish ... and how you share a homemade cake every Valentine's day. Ahhh, I can also envision how whomever is around, adult children or Little Aussie, joining at the table when the cake is cut. Love those happy romantic endings!❤️

  2. Dearest Debbie,
Happy Valentine's week to you as well!
We celebrate 365 days a year Valentine and don't do anything special for the commercial day.
Having already my birthday early February, which gets extended some 3 days with all the video calls, phone calls, text messages etc. Glad when finally things go back to normal routine. Whatever that is.
Hope they are making progress with your apartment!
    Sending you hugs,
    Mariette

    1. Let me add my Happy Birthday wishes to you, Mariette!

Oh, the apartment is coming along. Much to do to get back to normal. It took much less time for the hookah smoking neighbor to damage and put the building out of order than to repair, unfortunately. However, one step (or two when impossible) will get us there!

Happy Valentine's Day! The little, not-much-fuss holidays are fun. I always think spring is around the corner when VD rolls around.
