When I saw this 250 Anniversary Bourbon Bottle, I immediately thought of long-time blog reader and journalist, Barry, who has an interest in following the bourbon industry. Barry is a casual expert on all things bourbon. Some bourbon enthusiasts say, "The bottle matters almost as much as the spirit inside.”
The Fanyil We The People 250 bottle is a collectible for bourbon aficionados, patriots, and history buffs alike. It has a Liberty Bell airtight vacuum stopper to preserve the complex notes of a favorite bourbon you put inside it. The bottle is created from thick, lead-free crystal with a weighted base, and its 1776 - 2026 stamp, commemorating the nation’s birthday, could make the decanter a historic relic in future years.
Hi
ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning me in the blog. I looked these guys up- they make all kinds of canisters. Bourbon lends itself to going into canisters. There are some good commercial bottles, Angel's Envy, Blantons, Willet, and others- just to name a few, but these bespoke canisters capture the history and the patriotic overtones very well, as opposed to simply getting at the branding of the various "expressions".
Bourbon history is fascinating. There used to be a restaurant on W 26th Street called Maysville named after a place on the Ohio River where they sent bourbon down to New Orleans in the good old days. I spent quite a bit of time there and was fascinated by the unique styles on some of the bottles.
Barry, I always think you could write a bourbon blog if you didn’t mind an extra writing job. You know the history, brands, and producers. Somebody should hire you to review batches!
DeleteIs this made in Kowloon Hong Kong where customer service is located
DeleteFew products of this type are made in the USA. I wouldn’t be surprised if the factories are in China, but there’s no information to verify this.
DeleteSo has anyone purchased this "We the people" bottle that is being sold by Fanyil? Curious if the quality is good enough to justify the price. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBefore I buy anything from a lesser-known retailer, I read all the reviews I can find, starting with Tust Pilot. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/fanyil.com. When there are many reviews as there are here, I will trust the experience of the majority. If the reviews are half and half, you take more of a risk. Then I focus on the most detailed reviews from people who took the time to explain in detail.
DeleteDon't bother purchasing this. They hold maybe 250 ml of liquid. Second of all it comes as a sticker. Third there's no Liberty Bell. It's a complete scam.
DeleteThank you for letting my readers know!
