Fanyil We The People 250 Bottle

When I saw this 250 Anniversary Bourbon Bottle, I immediately thought of long-time blog reader and journalist, Barry, who has an interest in following the bourbon industry. Barry is a casual expert on all things bourbon. Some bourbon enthusiasts say, "The bottle matters almost as much as the spirit inside.”

The Fanyil We The People 250 bottle is a collectible for bourbon aficionados, patriots, and history buffs alike. It has a Liberty Bell airtight vacuum stopper to preserve the complex notes of a favorite bourbon you put inside it. The bottle is created from thick, lead-free crystal with a weighted base, and its 1776 - 2026 stamp, commemorating the nation’s birthday, could make the decanter a historic relic in future years.

But I always say, buy a material article only because you love it, not as an investment of future value, which is never a certainty. It should be a piece you enjoy seeing on your desk, shelf, or home bar. Currently, the bottle sells for $50 as a limited-edition commemorative. Perhaps Barry will see my blog to tell us what he thinks and if he’s tempted to buy it.😁

  1. Hi
Thanks for mentioning me in the blog. I looked these guys up- they make all kinds of canisters. Bourbon lends itself to going into canisters. There are some good commercial bottles, Angel's Envy, Blantons, Willet, and others- just to name a few, but these bespoke canisters capture the history and the patriotic overtones very well, as opposed to simply getting at the branding of the various "expressions".

Bourbon history is fascinating. There used to be a restaurant on W 26th Street called Maysville named after a place on the Ohio River where they sent bourbon down to New Orleans in the good old days. I spent quite a bit of time there and was fascinated by the unique styles on some of the bottles.

    1. Barry, I always think you could write a bourbon blog if you didn’t mind an extra writing job. You know the history, brands, and producers. Somebody should hire you to review batches!

    2. Is this made in Kowloon Hong Kong where customer service is located

    3. Few products of this type are made in the USA. I wouldn’t be surprised if the factories are in China, but there’s no information to verify this.

  2. So has anyone purchased this "We the people" bottle that is being sold by Fanyil? Curious if the quality is good enough to justify the price. Thanks!

    1. Before I buy anything from a lesser-known retailer, I read all the reviews I can find, starting with Tust Pilot. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/fanyil.com. When there are many reviews as there are here, I will trust the experience of the majority. If the reviews are half and half, you take more of a risk. Then I focus on the most detailed reviews from people who took the time to explain in detail.

    2. Don't bother purchasing this. They hold maybe 250 ml of liquid. Second of all it comes as a sticker. Third there's no Liberty Bell. It's a complete scam.

    4. I normally do thorough research before purchasing items especially for an on-line purchase.  I wish I had found https://www.trustpilot.com/review/libiyi.com and https://thesavvvyshopper.blogspot.com/2026/01/fanyil-we-people-250-bottle.html.  Bottom line - Don't waste your time on this item.  The company is operating as Fanyil.com, Libiyi.com, Solymall.com and a few others.  Yes, out of China.  I had found decent reviews but I guess I was blinded by the item's historical reference and we had just completed another part of the bourbon trail with friends.  Now I am attempting to return the erroneously advertised junk.  It's aggravating they somewhat admit it's not what they show in the pictures and CONTINUE to advertise the same item.  If the moderator chooses to not post my lengthy comment I understand.  I just wanted to share my thoughts on the product and their solution. 😳🤨

       Hi,
I have received a package from you today.  There are two bottles in separate boxes.  Package and boxes are intact.  I am confused with what I received and what the advertisement listed.  One bottle is definitely defective.  Why am I confused about the advertised product received?
Iconic Liberty Bell Seal.  A solid sculpted stopper.
** Neither bottle I received has the described and pictured 'Liberty Bell' stopper.  As I have shown in my photo, it is a plain little stopper that is similar to the cheaper liquor bottles you buy.  It is not heavy.
Archival-grade crystal glass.  Crafted from thick lead-free crystal with a weighted base.      ** Each bottle weighs 6.1 ounces.  There is no weight to this bottle.  It's lighter than a jelly/jam jar.  The size and heft of the decanter the man is holding in the photos is MUCH larger.
      The 1776-2026 Collector’s Stamp.
** What stamp?  Not even a bottle maker’s stamp on the bottom.
      350 ml capacity.
** At 5 1/2” tall and 3 1/2” across, this does not hold 350 ml.  350 ml. is 11.8349 ounces.  You are lucky to get 8 ounces.
High-relief sculptures of the Founding Fathers.
**There is no 3-D appearance to this bottle.  No texture to the surface of the bottle.  No engravings.  Images are merely a transparent sticker labels affixed to the bottle.  In fact, one of the purchased bottles has bubbles in several places under the sticker/label.
The Unity Promise: Engraved at the base are the powerful words: 'Fifty States, One Nation'.
** Again, there is no texture, high relief or engraving on these bottles. There are only poorly affixed stickers.

Bottom line, this isn't heirloom quality or something to present to someone for a special or monumental event.  It's not worthy of giving to friend or family member let alone someone that is an afficionado, connoisseur or enthusiast of fine spirits.

SHAME ON ME!!  I do want a refund.

  3. Wow! I called myself doing a thorough research prior to my purchase. I wish I had found this blog and https://www.trustpilot.com/review/fanyil.com. Do NOT waste your time or money with this outfit. I purchased two of the 250h Anniversary decanters. I was excited with the historical significance and something unique to give to my husband and our big bourbon buddy. I am now trying to return the items and obtain a refund. I emailed the company my review (complaint) and I had included pictures of my purchase. Included were photos and advertisement claims on their webpage.

😳🤨😠 Fanyil or Libiyi seem to be the same group. I am now finding others have purchased the bottles and are not impressed. Now all I can do is return the bottles at my expense, trust they will accept my return and grant a refund. I don’t feel good about this
Please forgive the lengthy response and I understand if it’s removed..

    1. Thank you for letting us know. Terrible! The gall of charging $50 for such a subpar product. I’d report the company to the Federal Trade Commision. Here’s how and where: https://reportfraud.ftc.gov.
