The leather bag is available in 5 colors: black, peachy-beige, subdued red, green and white. It is also produced in logo designed fabrics.
On the leather bags, the strap is removable and can be worn as a belt, which is rather cool!
But as I told Ang, for a crossover bag, it's narrow, and you can't fit much in it: a phone, wallet, keys, lipstick, comb and ink pen is about it.
The 30 Montaigne bag is smaller than Chanel's Double Flap jumbo size bag. Perhaps it is about the size of Chanel's Double Flap medium bag. However, the advantage of Chanel's iconic bags are they are dressy in appearance, and customers often buy the smaller versions of them for black-tie occasions and the jumbo size for every day use.
While Dior's 30 Montaigne bag is smart and sophisticated, it isn't designed to look gala fancy like the Chanel Double Flap medium or small bags are. Therefore, you'd likely want it spacier, so you can carry more stuff in it for every day use.
So it's almost functional, yet not quite there. For the high $3,550 ticket price (and durable leather which it is), I'd wait for the Dior 30 Montaigne bag to come out in a larger size.
That said, it's far cheaper and a winning alternative for shoppers who pine for a lovely designer bag, but won't pay the insane costs charged by Hermes and Chanel. Once Dior brings out a roomier bag, I predict it becomes a classic too.

Dearest Debbie,
ReplyDeleteYes, it is elegant yet not very flexible for many uses... Only for those that can afford tons of different bags for certain outfits.
Love the peachy-beige one!

For my lifetstyle I buy equally smart-looking bags at TJ Maxx. I would die if I got caught in the rain with a beautiful designer bag in the pouring rain. But I can admire the craftmanship and solid leather that goes into the most desirable luxury bags. I can be a fashionistra despite not owning one. But you know what, when I see top quality, I can apply it in judging items of lesser price points. There are bargins to be had!

DeleteHey There. I found your blog using msn. This is an extremely well written article.
ReplyDeleteI'll be sure to bookmark it and come back to read more of your useful info.
Thanks for the post. I'll definitely comeback.
Thanks for the encouragement, Anon. Welcome to the blog.
DeleteHello to every body, it's my first visit of this web site; this web
ReplyDeletesite contains remarkable and in fact fine material in support of
readers.
Are you a different or the same Anon? Regardless, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI do recommend starting with a free platform. There is no benefit to pay for what is offered for free. Both Wordpress and Blogger are equally good. As you can see, I selected Blogger. Why? Because it's a Google product, and I thoght it would be around for a long time. But Wordpress is excellect too. Not that you need to, but know if you ever desire to move to a paying platform, you can. You can take your blog to another platform.
ReplyDeleteWrite about stuff you like or want to research, so you enjoy the work of blogging. It's good to post twice a week if you can. Don't feel you must post daily unless you have millions of readers who click on daily. The very least try to post once per week. Twice a week is a good frequency and fun for regular readers. But focus mainly on creating good content over an abundance of content. Better to have 4 good posts over 400 bad, poorly written, boring posts.
You know, I don't know who you are or what your agenda might be, Anonymous. THE SAVVY SHOPPER strives for tranparency.
ReplyDeleteWoah! I'm really enjoying the template/theme of
ReplyDeletethis website. It's simple, yet effective. A lot of times it's challenging
to get that "perfect balance" between user friendliness and appearance.
I must say you've done a very good job with this. In addition, the blog
loads very quick for me on Opera. Exceptional Blog!
Oh thanks for letting me know, Anon! :)
DeletePlease let me know if you're looking for a
ReplyDeletearticle author for your site. You have some really great posts
and I believe I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some
of the load off, I'd absolutely love to write some content for
your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please shoot me
an email if interested. Many thanks!
And yet, you are Anonymous. :) Nonetheless, thanks for clicking and your support!
