Florence by Mills Beauty From Millie Bobby Brown

Florence by Mills is a new line of skin care and makeup from generation Z (i.e., 15 year old actress) Millie Bobby Brown. The beauty products contain natural ingredients infused with vitamins and botanicas that are not tested on animals. They are targeted for teenagers, but all ages and skin types can use them. 

Sold at Boots in the UK and Ulta in the US at such affordable price points with good clean ingredients, they are worth putting on your radar! 

Although I always take note for whom products are formulated, when anyone can benefit ... use the brand. Sometimes it's only marketing. At other times, it simply means the beauty line is more gentle. For example, products created for young skin won't have heavy perfume. This brand is phthalate free, paraben free, sulfate free, artificial scent free; and it is good for universal skin!

What's more, I lean towards a fresh, natural look. I want to look like myself ... but my, enhanced, best self! You?

The light face tints, under eye concealers, cream blushes and lip glosses are worth a browse.

It's fantastic to have additional choices, budget-friendly prices and simple yet attractive packaging ... all bringing us back to what is truly important. What's inside: Products that work, sans wasteful packaging, or inflated costs to pay for fake, so called exclusive "luxuries."  The fact that Florence by Mills is sold at Boots and Ulta, retailers who run a ton of sales, means trying them for less is a must.

The future's Generation Z looks bright, no? Not to mention fresh and attractive!

Milani Summer Beauty

Milani is a top-notch cosmetic line sold at CVS, Ulta, Walgreens and Target. Founded by brother and sister Ralph Bijou and Laurie Minc in 2002, the siblings named their company after Milan, Italy in honor of its cutting edge fashion. The luxe makeup sells for $12.99 or less. With its wide array of rich pigmented beautiful colors that flatter every skin tone, there is no real need to spend more on makeup.

Milani offers lipsticks, eyeshadow, blush, eyebrow pencils, foundation, face powder, concealer, bronzers, highlighters and more. There are also makeup brushes, lip scrubs and nail polish. As attractive and numerous as the colors are, they all have a natural tinge, perhaps the reason why all skin tones can wear them.

Previously I featured the Malini blush in the Dolce Pink #o1 shade as my top doppelgänger for the iconic NARS Orgasm blush that sells for $30, which is 5 times more than its lookalike Malini blush. Malini in Luminoso #05 is a peachier shade, yet a close 2nd. 

At $12.99 the Rose Blush Trio Palette (above top image) is tempting, too, as the palettes (there are 2 varieties of hues) have a bit of shimmer.

I love the Pink Play/Rose Ludique #01 Color Harmony Blush Palette for summer beauty. The colors are blendable and gorgeous on ivory complexions. There are 4 different palettes including: Warm Bronzes, Warm Corals and Berry Rays.

The Milani lipsticks are another favorite of mine. Dulce Caramelo #27, a unique, peachy-pink-brown nude with subtle shimmer, is my summer signature color. I like it so much I bought 2 of them, one to apply in the morning and another to carry in my purse for touch ups. At $5.99, I can afford to splurge on a 2nd one! 

Milani makes quality cosmetics as lovely as NARS for oodles less! And what's more, the gold metalic packaging is classy.

One Stroke Launches From L'Oreal And Tarte

There is something about a warm balmy climate and more daylight that sparks many of us to up our makeup game with lovely new colors.

👀Tarte has launched new eyeshadow with the Tarteist PRO REMIX Amazonian Clay Palette. Formulated with earthy, yet vibrate pigments, apply any of the 20 hues with a single stoke and be done. The new palette is sold at Ulta.com for $25 and comes with a free gift. (Ulta's free gifts are usually good ones, and customers earn points on purchases!)

💄I wear nude lipstick frequently. Often if it has staying power, it dries out my lips. But if it conditions my lips with moisturizes, the color fades licketysplit fast after applying.

L'Oreal Colour Riche has created a collection to overcome both annoyances. The 16 shades give you ultra matte highly pigmented nude lips that stay put. They are formulated with super intense hydration and a super matte finish. With one stroke, you get lasting lip color and "comfortable wear."

Some of the 16 "nude" choices, in fact, look more brown, pink or plum. Nonetheless all are natural, attractive colors, and one is a true classic nude. I'm fine with that ... and may even venture over to pink, rose or plum.

One drawback to be aware of: Customers say the lipstick bends and breaks easily. So to avoid a mess, don't roll it all the way up (i.e., out) to apply. For under $10 bucks, it's a steal!

The rule of spring/summer is: New makeup for new seasons!
